The game crashes cause you called in a bot.

Then use it. STEAM is a requirement for ESF.

I turned on the game in software steam and when I change the game to esf_openbeta the game out to me
And another thing

Nice try. But what you are describing is not STEAM.
Face it you need a legaly bought Half Life 1 game on a STEAM account to have ESF working.
There is no such thing as changing game to anything in STEAM.
But if you insist on the fact that you are using STEAM we can easilly find out 100%.
All you have to do is take a screen shot of the Half Life 1 main menu, with an open console.

I downloaded half-life 1 from steam and I installed the game esf 1.3 inside the folder of the half-life
And it still does not work see the same thing

Update your graphics card drivers, switch rendering mode in your settings to Open GL and it should work.
Then again the open beta is pretty bugged in itself. Hence why no one plays it.
